Frankfort Base Hosts Open House

The KY-5 Frankfort base hosted an Open House on January 5 at their new base adjacent to Frankfort Regional Medical Center. The base had relocated from their parking-lot trailer to a vastly larger former doctor’s office earlier in the year, creating the perfect opportunity to reconnect with their customers.

The all-day event was coordinated by Medical Base Supervisor Donnya Shryock and Flight Nurse/Outreach Coordinator Jennifer Blackburn. The event included chicken, sandwich wraps, cheese, venison meat balls, punch, and (a requirement for any KY-5 event) Moe’s Air Muffins.

Those attending included the CEO, CFO, and CNO of Frankfort Regional Medical Center, and the Fire Chief and EMS Director for Frankfort Fire & EMS.

The base was spruced up and looked great, and even though there were frigid temperatures and snow flurries, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and enjoying the tour of the new facility.
