Air Methods Kentucky: Glasgow Base (KY-8)

In 2009 the Glasgow KY-8 base moved to the new EMS/hanger facility at 102 Airport Road in Glasgow. We serve the rural areas of south central Kentucky, including Barren, Metcalfe, Warren, Allen, Monroe, and Hart counties, to name a few. Our aircraft is N130LN, a 2004 model EC130B4. Our primary care destinations are University of Louisville, Jewish, and Kosair, as well as Vanderbilt, St. Thomas or Skyline Hospital in Nashville. We closely work with TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

KY-8 is one of the two AMKY aircraft equipped for balloon pump transports. Our medical team years of experience range from 10-30 + years. Average liftoff times are under 10 minutes.

The base is committed to providing continuing education for first responders, EMTs, and paramedics. A proud member of the Glasgow/Barren Co Chamber of Commerce, KY-8 is also the preferred provider of The Camp for Courageous Kids, a non-profit organization for special needs children located in Scottsville, Ky.
