Our Team

A team of highly-qualified and experienced staff will coordinate your patient’s transport. Our nurses have an average of 14 years of critical care and ED experience, many being nationally-certified flight nurses. Our paramedics also bring an average of 14 years experience and are required to obtain national certification as a Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C).

EMS pilots have a minimum of 2,500 hours of airplane pilot-in-command experience and 500 hours of multi-engine experience. All pilots are instrument-rated and receive initial and recurrent flight ground training. Air Methods pilots fly under FAA Part 135 Instrument Flight Rules.

In addition, our advanced air medical communication network, LifeCom, is available 24/7/365 to take your call and then continuously track the crew and facilitate any necessary communications and arrangements throughout the entire flight.
